Avon Tyres, also Avon Motorcycle Tyres, is a motorcycle-tire manufacturing company that started in UK, hence the British "tyres" in its official name. Avon manufactures a variety of motorcycle tires including sport, touring, and racing tires. In 2011, Avon Tyres will celebrate 100 years of motorcycle tire manufacturing. Avon has won 4 Production Class Championships and 13 Supersport Class Championships. Famous racers who have used Avon tires are Geoff Duke, Mike Hailwood, John Surtees, Mike Du, and Barry Sheene.
