Motorcycle mirrors, also referred to as side-view mirrors, rear-view mirrors, or side mirrors, are mounted on the handlebars of a motorcycle (one on each side). The purpose of motorcycle mirrors is to help the rider see behind and to the side of the motorcycle and to minimize the effects of his or her blind spot. Many motorcycle mirrors come with a built-in turn-signal light but rarely with a defroster (defogger) or remote electrical adjustment or remote mechanical adjustment. Motorcycle mirrors can be classified as either motorcycle parts or motorcycle accessories.
